Ronnie Neal Cameron left this world on July 11, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by the love of his family in Lexington, KY. Born on April 8, 1946, in Paris, KY, Ronnie was a steadfast presence in the lives of those who loved him. His journey through life was marked by admirable dedication to his family, work, and faith. Surviving Ronnie is his cherished wife, Gertrude "Trudy" Frances Mattox Cameron, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. His legacy also lives on through his two sons, Christopher (Glenna) Cameron and Ronnie (Pamela) Cameron, and his adored seven grandchildren, Jonathon Pearce, Trevor Cameron, Toni Cameron, Levi Cameron, Damien Cameron, Zackary Peters, and Nathaniel Cameron, along with a precious great-grandchild who brought immense joy to his later years. Ronnie's memory will also be celebrated by his brothers, Wayne and Gary Cameron, his sisters, Jan (Carl Wayne) Hafley and Sharon (Danny) Purvis, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom felt Ronnie's kindness and support throughout their lives. Prior to his retirement, Ronnie was a dedicated employee at Claiborne Farms for 32 years, where his hardworking spirit resonated throughout the stables and fields. He also contributed significantly to his community by helping others with farm work, exhibiting an exemplary ethic of service. Ronnie's life was characterized by his tireless work ethic, but it was the warmth of his family life that truly defined him. A man of few words, Ronnie's actions spoke to the core values of kindness, thoughtfulness, and selflessness that he embodied. He was the rock upon which his family could always lean, providing guidance, comfort, and unwavering support. Ronnie now rejoins those who have passed before him, including his parents, Robert Cameron and Louise Fuller Cameron; his dear grandson, Silas Cameron; brothers Jimmy and Billy Cameron; and sister Linda Caudill. Their reunion is a comforting thought to those mourning his loss, as they envision him embraced by those who were an integral part of his profound life story. Ronnie Neal Cameron's impact on this world was as gentle as it was substantial, touching lives in a way that will long outlive his earthly presence. His gentle soul and kind spirit will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Ronnie's life was a testament to the power of simple, daily acts of goodness, and his mark on this world will endure in the values he instilled in his family and the warm memories he leaves behind. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Wednesday July 16, 2025, by Clay Leonard at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Wednesday July 16, 2025, until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Christopher Cameron, Ronnie Cameron, Robert Caudill, Michael Mattox and Darrell McFarland. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Cameron, Gary Cameron, Jan Hafley, Sharon Purvis and his co-workers at Claiborne Farms.
