Roosevelt Bell III, a loving son, devoted father, caring brother, beloved uncle, and cherished friend, graced this world on July 11, 1966, in Lexington, KY, to the late Mary Lou Brown and Roosevelt Bell, Jr. He transitioned to his heavenly home on March 20, 2024, at U. K. Hospital.

"Rosie," as people affectionately called him, had an academic journey that led him from Johnson Elementary through Henry Clay High School where he graduated from in 1984. He actively participated in various school activities such as darts, band, and gymnastics. From a young age, he displayed a strong work ethic, often assisting his father with construction work and masonry.

Roosevelt served with distinction in the United States National Guard. He later dedicated 36 years of his life to Toyota Motor Manufacture. Toyota became his extended family.

Beyond his professional and military pursuits, Roosevelt possessed numerous gifts and talents such as carpentry, home renovation, and remodeling as well as his interest in cars and automotive repairs. If you named it, he could do it! Roosevelt loved to dance and sing. He expressed his love for music as a talented DJ at weddings, parties, and other events. He founded R&K Barbecue, a culinary sanctuary where he brought happiness to countless people with his cooking.

His spiritual commitment was evident when he was baptized at Wesley United Methodist Church, where he wholeheartedly dedicated his life to GOD. In Roosevelt's heart was his deep love for family and faith. Whether hosting holiday feasts, embarking on memorable road trips, or simply having a good time, he knew how to infuse joy into everything!

Roosevelt has a legacy of love he leaves to his cherished children, Brandon R. Bell and Roosevelt Bell IV; stepchildren, Natasha Crawford, Brendan Commodore, and Marcus Commodore; siblings, Carolyn Brown, Terry Brown (Tujuana), John Brown (Connie), the late Bonita Bell, and the late Kenny Brown; sister-in-law, Linda Brown; his memory is also tenderly held by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and relatives, as well as his beloved girlfriend, Paige Hanley or "Paigey-Waigey," as he affectionately called her. Rosie had many friends who always surrounded him with love.

Roosevelt understood that Earth was not his ultimate destination, placing his full trust in GOD despite his declining health. Today, we celebrate the precious gift we were given.
