Rosa Lee Leach Smith was called to eternal rest March 22, 2024. She was born September 16, 1940 in Raleigh, NC. She was the daughter of the late Louis Clifton Leach and Febbie William Leach. Rosa was the widow of Fred Lee Smith.

Rosa confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of St Anna Freewill Baptist Church Willow Spring, NC. After moving to Lexington, KY. she joined Greater Liberty Baptist Church as a watch care member under Rev. Walter Taylor. She worked as an LPN at Eastern State Hospital and the VAMC Hospital where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Leach, Mary Leach McCord, and Bernice Leach.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Cynthia Smith, Jacquelyne Wheeler, Larphine (Phine) Smith, Stephanie (Odus) Thompson, Roger (Rochelle) Smith and Sheila Smith, four generations of grand and great grandchildren, many friends including Mr. Eugene Taylor, Deceased also surviving Mrs. Ella Smith Bell and Family, Mrs. Anna Jean Fisher and Family, Barbara Givens, Norma Stewart, Eleanor Beatty University Of KY Medical Center friends and Deborah Railey, Steve Chandler, and Frank Minniefield, Special Family Friends, Neighborhood friends Juanita Drake, Linda Parks, Sonja & Montay Piersall , Linda Jones, and Barbara Branham.

Other survivors include Uncle Andrew Leach Garner, NC, all family members that live in North Carolina and Steeleton, PA.
