Obituary

Samuel Woodson Crumbie, 88, husband of 63 years to Anna Pearl Summers Crumbie, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home, Paris KY. A native of Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Robert E. Crumbie and Lucille Nelson Crumbie. He worked as an electrician at the Bluegrass Army Depot and also loved repairing electronics. He enjoyed gardening and farming as well as working crossword puzzles. He was a member of the First Baptist Church on Eighth Street in Paris, Ky. and also a member of the American Legion Charles Young Post 165. Mr. Crumbie was a veteran of the United States Air Force served in the Korean War and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by four children, Tony W. Crumbie, Tanya (James) Burbridge Timothy (Donna) Crumbie and Tyron (Shelia) Crumbie; two grandchildren, Paige Crumbie and BriAnna Burbridge and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Richard, Robert, Sebree, and Charles Herman Crumbie; two sisters, Forestine Pace and Nana Hazzard and a special friend Charles Thomas. Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by The Rev. Aaron Crumbie. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the hour of service on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the funeral home.
