Sharon Kaye Patterson was born on May 17, 1954 to the late Nelson Patterson and Elizabeth Lewis.

Sharon departed this life on May 31, 2018 at 5:04 P. M., at Lexington One Saint Joseph Hospital, Hospice Unit in Lexington, Ky.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Henry, and two brothers, Cornelius and Benjamin Lewis.

Sharon was baptized at an early age at the Seventh Street Christian Church, she belonged to the Youth Choir and Christian Youth Fellowship, and later attended St. Paul Methodist Church until her health began to fail.

She attended the former Western High School and graduated from Bourbon County High School. She furthered her education at Murray State College in Murray, Kentucky where she received a BS Degree in Social Work and later her MS Degree from the University of Kentucky.

Sharon worked at Bourbon County Nursing Home until her retirement and was a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

She leaves to be remembered by two sisters, Norma Patton, Mt. Sterling, Ky and Charleen Burrows, Lauderhill, Fl; four nephews, Keith Lewis, Mt. Sterling, Ky; Brione Burrows, (Valerie), Milledgeville, GA; Bobby Henry (Bert); and Steven Henry (Keisha) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one great nephew, Brione Burrows, Jr.; seven great nieces, Keisha Lewis, Alysa Lewis of Paris, Ky; Bria Burrows of Savannah, GA, Dorenda Henry , Pam Lewis, Sonia (Sylvester) Robinson, and Carma Taylor of Fort Lauderdale, FL. and two great great nephews Chace Williams and Colby Horton. There are several nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends and especially Phyllis Bates, Jacqueline Nichols, Dorothy Mack, Margaret Mason, Kim Mullins, and Daisy Jouett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Connie Mitchell. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Barnes, Brione Burrows, Sr., Charles Grisby, Clyde Marks, James Richardson and Kerry Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Henderson, Keith Lewis and Harvey Nichols.
