Stephen Elwood Pendleton, widower of Peggy Hash Pendleton, departed this life on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Louisville, having attained the age of 77 years. Steve was born on April 14, 1944, in Richmond City, Virginia, the son of the late Alvin Elwood and Myrtie Hawkes Pendleton, was retired from N.C.R. after 52 years having worked as a service manager and was a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Baylor Lawrence Pendleton. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Todd (Gina) Pendleton, Phillip (Allissa) Pendleton, and Christopher (MaryJean) Pendleton; grandchildren, Jeress Pendleton, Alexis Pendleton, Hannah Pendleton, Connor Pendleton, Keaton Pendleton, Clara Rose Pendleton, and Edward Pendleton. Also surviving is a sister, Cherry Pendleton; and brother, David Pendleton. The funeral service for Stephen Elwood Pendleton will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with casket bearers being Todd Pendleton, Phillip Pendleton, Christopher Pendleton, Connor Pendleton, Keaton Pendleton, Jeress Pendleton, and David Pendleton.
