Thelma Jane Yazell Bentley, age 87, of Paris, departed this life on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Bourbon Heights Nursing Facility, surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was born in Bourbon County on April 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Carl and Lena Walton Yazell, was a Bourbon County High School graduate, worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was a member of Old Union Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven of her siblings, Mildred Gracey, Lillian Plummer, Dorothy Yazell, Stella Cozine, Florine Mastin, Russell Yazell, and Charlie Yazell. Surviving are two sons, Mark (Denise) Bentley, Tim (LynnAnn) Bentley; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Mollie Woods, Betty Tucker, Martha Rankin, Janice Price, and one brother, Carl (Leona) Yazell, Jr. The funeral service for Thelma Jane Bentley will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Winkler officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Garden with casket bearers being Jay Price, Tony Rankin, David Tucker, Steven Plummer, Travis Yazell, Heather Yazell, and Kelly Yazell. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, April 7, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Mark and Tim would like to express appreciation to their uncles, Mr. Eddie Woods, and Mr. Jack Plummer for their help and support over the years.
