VERA M. HENDERSON, 101, born January 13, 1923 was called home Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Vera was born to the late Harris and Jessie Davis in Cold Wood, West Virginia. Vera was a member of the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Campbell County School System and retired from private house sitting. Vera was preceded in death by her parents Harris and Jessie Davis, husband William Arthur Henderson, one daughter Georgia M. Jackson Canady, two grandsons Sidney M. Jackson and John H. Jackson, three sister and three brothers. She leaves to cherish her precious memory two granddaughters Evelyn (Kim) Davis, and Juanita Jackson and a bonus son Richard Young, 17 great grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren and 15 great great great grandchildren, one first cousin Laura Jarnagin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Evelyn and Kim Davis along with their children and grandchildren did a phenomenal job in caring for their grandmother Vera especially during the time it counted the most.

Graveside services will be held Friday June 28th at Evergreen Memory Gardens in our Garden of The Good Shepherd
