FISHER Vernia L. Diggs departed this life Monday, February 26, 2018.  Born Sept 10, 1942, She was the oldest child of the late John Diggs and Minnie Wilkerson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Fisher, sisters: Ella Williams and Juanita Fluker.

She retired from the University of Kentucky after 35 years. She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters: Jessie McDowell, Mary Griffin and Marie Robertson; one brother: William (Gwen) Diggs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services 12pm Friday, visitation 10am at Historic Pleasant Green Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Arrg. Smith & Smith.
