William Floyd Hendricks Jr., 81, husband of Fay Hendricks for over 57 years, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018.

Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late William Floyd and Geneva Rosella Travis Hendricks Sr.

He was a retired Captain for over 23 years with the Lexington Fire Dept. and a member of Bryan Station Baptist Church.

Survivors other than his wife are a son, Allen Craig Hendricks; a brother, Allen Zane Hendricks (Dot); two sisters, Carlis Bennett (Lonnie), and Janice Turner; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Judy Ann Crawley-Belfrey and a brother-in-law, Hugh Turner Jr.

Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Friday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
