Obituary

Woodrow Allen Berry, fondly known as "Woody," was a true embodiment of kindness and generosity. Born on January 25, 1949, in Paris, Kentucky, Woody's life was a testament to his warm spirit and dedication to his loved ones. On June 27, 2025, he passed away peacefully in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by the family he adored. A patriotic man, Woody served his country as a United States Navy veteran. His work ethic was admirable, and after valiant service, he retired froma fulfilling career that spanned across IBM/LexMark, Link Belt, and KOI. Woody's commitmentto excellence was evident in all his professional endeavors. Graduating in 1968 fromParis High School, Woody valued education and the doors it opened. His Christian faith was paramount, and as amember of Central Baptist Church in Paris, he lived his beliefs through acts of service and love toward others. Married for nearly 56 years to his beloved wife, Linda Lois Wallace Berry, their union was a beautiful example of enduring love and partnership. Woody was the proud father of two children, Christopher Allen Berry, married to Tammy, and Beverly Berry, who married Dallas Watkins. His life was further enriched with the joy and laughter of his four grandchildren, Alyssa Weaver, Caity Weaver, Dylan Berry, and Brooklynn Berry. Woody's generous spirit was the cornerstone of his existence. Always thinking of others, he derived immense joy from mowing his yard, engaging with his cherished dogs, and handing out candy to people and dog treats to their furry friends. Those simple acts of kindness left a profound impact on all who knew him. Woody's departure was preceded by the loss of his parents, Estill Smith Berry and Lucy Hazel Garrison Berry.
