Anna Alcorn Jackson, 94, of Lexington, KY, Widow of Rev. Isaac Jackson Sr., entered Heaven on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
She was born on October 9, 1925 to the late Morton Alcorn and Mary Alcorn Montgomery, in Burgin, KY, where she attended Harrodsburg High School. She was also predeceased by her brother William Alcorn Sr.; her sons Morris Donald Bowman, Thomas, David, James, and Jerry Jackson; her daughters Betty Scott and Teresa Locke.
Anna professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Consolidated Baptist Church where she served faithfully in several ministries throughout her life including the 1954 club. She loved her Pastor and Church family.
She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, cousin, in-law, neighbor, and friend - always willing to give her love, support, guidance, and assistance to all that she could. If you knew Anna you would consider her to be your Other Mother as did the Kelly, Rodrigues, Engle, Coleman, Butcher, Hardin families and the list goes on and on. She would always give her children Godly advice in all areas of life and thus loved by so many. She made you feel extra special when she told you that you were her favorite. And she told that to so many with a smile.
Anna leaves to celebrate her life her sister Ruth Evelyn Alcorn Ashley; her children Florence Hocker Watkins (her special daughter), Isaac (Rebecca) Jackson Jr., Patricia Jackson, Shirley (Richard) Mack, Timothy Jackson; a host of special grandchildren, great grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, other relatives, and special friends. Special recognition to her 1st grandchild Roshay Hocker who will miss her dearly. Special thanks to Richard and Shirley Mack, James Alcorn, Thomas Jackson (deceased), Brookdale Richmond Place, and other loved ones for their special dedication in caring for her. Thanks to everyone involved in the life of Anna Jackson for she loved you all dearly.
