Benita Lee Roberts Peoples July 26, 1960 - December 19, 2020 Lexington, Kentucky

Mrs. Benita Lee Roberts Peoples, 60, daughter of the late Gilbert Roberts Sr. and Paralee Simpson Roberts departed this life Saturday, December 19, 2020 after a long battle with breast cancer.

She graduated from Henry Clay High School and the University of Kentucky and was a faithful member of the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Winchester.

She was a long-time employee by the UK College of Agriculture Harrison County Cooperative Extension. Known for her infectious smile and encouraging words, this beautiful woman of faith will be truly missed.

Peoples leaves to mourn her husband of 26 years, Rev. Dr. Samuel Peoples, two daughters Erica Hayden and Ashley Carrington (Jeffrey); two grandsons Hayden-Lee and Harrison; and her five siblings: Sheila Thompson, Gilbert Roberts, Jr., Juaniki Parker (Gregory), Phillip and Elizabeth Roberts; a host of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 12pm on Tuesday, December 29 at the Unity Worship Center in Lexington. Visitation 10:00am . Funeral arrangements by Hawkins-Taylor Funeral Home.
