On Friday, October 23, 2020, Edward Ellett Pollard passed away after battling Leukemia.
“Ed” was born December 29, 1941 in Richmond, Virginia to Andrew Drewery Pollard and Mable Hall Pollard.
Ed served in the United States Navy, attended Virginia Tech University, and completed his Master’s Degree at the University of Kentucky in 1967. He was an accomplished mechanical engineer for IBM, Lexmark, and Kaba Mas and was awarded multiple patents for his designs.
Ed was preceded in death by his spouse, Donna Rose Gifford Pollard, and Edward Ellett Pollard Jr. He is survived by his brother, Andrew Drewery Pollard Jr. and his wife Judy, two daughters; Annhall Norris and her husband Joda, Lisa Elkin and her husband Mark, as well as three grandchildren; Sabree Rose Norris, Edward Riley Norris, and Preston Edward Fielding Elkin.
Ed was an avid fisherman who loved to travel and camp with his family. He was a member of the Fort Logan Pioneers where he enjoyed dancing with his friend, Judy Hammons.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM and funeral services at 11:00 AM, Wednesday October 28 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road.
