Obituary
Mr. Jerry Thomas Eckler, 71 passed away on June 22, 2022.
He was born on January 30, 1951 in Lexington to the late John Thomas Eckler and Mattie Bell Johnson Eckler.
Mr. Eckler worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed animals, especially horses and cattle, fishing, watching NHRA drag races, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jerry Thomas Eckler II, Cheyanne Newkirk (Mike); grandchildren, Sierra Eckler, Jerry Thomas Eckler III, Lane Newkirk, and Corman Newkirk; and two brothers, Ray Eckler and Paul Eckler.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Carrol Eckler. Funeral services will be held at 12PM Monday, June 27, 2022 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main Street with visitation from 11AM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Lexington Humane Society
