Nivea Evette (Jones) Downey

Nivea Evette Downey, 38, daughter of Terry and Miranda Downey Jones and Timothy (Connie Snowden) Hawkins, died Wednesday March 24, 2021 at the Bourbon Community Hospital, Paris, KY.

She was born in Paris, KY. Nivea was a server at Trackside Restaurant, Paris, KY. She enjoyed karaoke, loved watching her children play sports and loved serving people.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by two children, Kentarrion Downey and Aiden Myers; one sister, Niesha Downey; 2 half sisters, Ronica Jones and Monica Burnham; grandmother, Emma Jones, special friend, Nellis Myers, bonus daughter, Desiree Crooks and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday March 31, 2021 at the First Christian Church, 911 High St., Paris, KY by Rev. Tony Weather and Rev. Gary Boyd. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Pars, KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Wednesday March 31, 2021 until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Corey Williams, David “Binky” Griggs, Tarius Downey, Eurich Downey, Damien Jones and Elgin Downey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Downey, Koebe Garrard, Jermaine Ransom and Damien Jones, Jr.
