Vivian Bledsoe Obituary

Vivian Lee Pope-Bledsoe was born April 1, 1955, the daughter of Robert H. Pope Sr. and Cordia Pope. She received her wings on September 22, 2023, after a long illness.

Vivian graduated from Bryan Station High School in 1973, they called themselves, “The Babes of ‘55.” She was employed by LFUCG and Manchester Center Child Care that she loved so much and was so loved back.

She was baptized at Pleasant Green Baptist church and later changed her membership to Consolidated Baptist Church. She enjoyed being around her family and friends and always caused laughter. She was an avid University of Louisville Cardinals fan as well as a Cincinnati Bengals fan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. Pope Sr. and her son, Jeremy Demond Pope.

Vivian is survived by her cherished husband, John H. Bledsoe, Sr.; her mother, Cordia Pope; siblings, Robert H. (Brenda) Pope, Jr. and Odessa (Alvin) Wells; one grandson, J’Marcus Pope; one great-grandson, Tre’Ontae Pope; and one niece, Kiyoka Wells. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Teelisha (Jonathan) Higgins, Traci Bledsoe, John H. Bledsoe, Jr. and Teddi Edwards, along with a host of extended brothers, sisters, nieces, family, and friends whom she truly loved.

Graveside services for Vivian Bledsoe will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. in our Garden of The Good Shepherd.

Hawkins Taylor Funeral Home, Lexington, is in charge of arrangements.
