Vivian Ann Brown, 65, transitioned from her earthly home and entered Heaven into the presence of God peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She fought fiercely and relentlessly for almost five months after enduring life-threatening trauma and injuries from a car accident.
She is preceded in death by her father John Brown, mother Edith Brown, and sister Evelyn Davis (Marty). She is survived by her loving and devoted children Dedre Brown (Jenny) and Shonda White (Eric); sister Angela Hawkins (Terry), Robin (Sherri), Andre, and Darral Brown (Alisa); 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews; special friends including Jerome Collins, Diane Gentry (George), Edith Turley (Ronnie), Cheryl Covington (Dave), Tammy Short, Donna Braxton (Gilbert), Laine Brown (Wanda), Willie Booker, Vickie Clay, Jewell Brady (James), Randi Rowady, and Elizabeth Gentry.
In addition to being a loving mother, sister, and friend, Vivian was a hardworking and beloved employee of LGE & KU Energy for more than 30 years. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Consolidated Baptist Church. She was a former member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Her love of God, unbelievable strength, electrifying personality, and unconditional spiritual gift to give and serve others were evident to all who were blessed to know her. Vivian enjoyed traveling, shopping, dancing, and living life to the fullest.
Service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Consolidated Baptist Church, 1625 Russell Cave Rd, Lexington, KY 40505. Visitation is 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon followed by a Celebration Service at 12:00 Noon, Pastor Richard Gaines officiating.
