Walter Lee True III

Walter Lee True, III, age 75, departed this life peacefully, at his residence, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, with family by his side.

Walter was born in Scott County on March 14, 1946, the son of the late Walter Lee True, Jr. and Allen Rankin True, and was a graduate of Bourbon County High School. He enjoyed spending time fishing, was a member of Young Farmers, and Silas Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jacqueline Hay and Dixie Simpson, as well as a grandson, Cory Lee True.

Surviving is a daughter, Lee Ann True; a son, Matthew True; former wife, special friend, and caretaker, Vicky True; two grandchildren, Rebecca True, Tiffany (Ethan) Williams; and special friend, Linda Marquette. Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Kayleigh True, Aubrey Lee King, Paisley Williams, Michael Palmer, Cory Williams; and one brother, J.C. (Debbie) True.

The funeral service for Walter Lee True, III, will be at 12 noon, Friday, March 19. 2021, at Silas Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Coots, David Mefford, and Kim Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with casket bearers being Matthew True, David Tucker, Scott Welsh, Aaron Welsh, Kevin Arnold, Jeff Conn, Brad Lanham, and Dillon Tucker. Honorary bearers are Ethan Williams, J.C. Tru, Gary Wilson, Terry Arnold, Jim Welsh, Jim Young, John Vest, Lewis Dutton, and Jeff Stacy.
