William Kenneth Tipton, age 89, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born December 12, 1931 in Winchester, Kentucky and he was the son of the late William Tipton and Stanley Reed. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a retired supervisor for Parker Seals. He is survived by three sons, Steven Tipton (Sue) of San Antonio, Texas, Anthony Tipton of Lexington, Kentucky, and Darrell Neal (Kimberly) of Winchester, Kentucky; two daughters, Kenetha Mullins (Marcus) of Clay City, Kentucky and Della Whitworth (David) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Jessica Tipton, Daniel Tipton, Justin Hiler, Corey Mullins, Hayley Bussell, Claire Gaglio, and Brandon Neal; several great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Tipton (Betty); two sisters, Norelyne Goodlett and Eldean Hall; five sister-in-law’s, Elizabeth Tipton, Dolores Parker (Robert), Kathy Smith (Craig), Lucille Helen, and Lois Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Dorothy Tipton (his princess); two brothers, Robert “Buster” and Ralph Tipton; six brother-in-law’s, Ed Hall, Kyle Goodlett, Frank, Ronald, Donald, and Jack Smith; and four sister-in-law’s, Virginia, Lola, Violet, and Edeltraut Smith. Funeral services will be held 12 pm Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main Street with Chaplain Michael Kelingos to officiate. Visitation will be held between 10 am and until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
